Adriano Marco E Vittorio
In the heart of the Barbaresco growing area, in the San Rocco Seno d'Elvio area, the Adriano Marco and Vittorio farm produces wines that mirror the land. The company has been family owned for generations and makes wine using only the grapes grown on their property. The family wine making tradition dates back to the early 1900s, when the grandfather, Giuseppe, a sharecropper, began cultivating vines. The tradition continued with his son Aldo. They acquired a small company, and together they began planting new vines.
The Adriano family is a typical example of a family-run farm, a real tradition in Piedmont. At the beginning of twentieth century, Giuseppe Adriano and his wife Teresa, Aldo's parents, already ran a farm but it was not yet winery. It was Aldo Adriano, with his wife Maddalena, that bought the first winery.
The Barbaresco Brothers! In the 80s, Marco and Vittorio, with their wives Luciana and Grazia, took over the business, improving the production and marketing of the wines and expanding further into the international markets. This year, Michela, Vittorio's daughter, joined the family business, joining her mother Grazia as export manager.
