A nicely plush malbec showing excellent balance between ripeness and freshness. Aromas of blackberries, currants, violets, spices and minerals to the nose extend to a smooth, medium- to full-bodied palate. Tannins are fine and dusty. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Malbec Gran Reserva is half from Los Chacayes in the Uco Valley and half from Las Compuertas in Lujan de Cuyo and was 90% aged for 12-15 months in new and used barrels (225, 400 and 500 liters) and 10% in amphorae and concrete eggs. A rich purple hue. The nose features ripe plum jam, spice and black tea traces over an oak bed. Indulgent with a reasonably juicy, dry feel, this is a ripe, long-lasting red.
