Wine Enthusiast 90
The ornate, fairytale label of this bottle is a good precursor to this wine itself. It brings rich black fruits, dense tannins, spice and bright acidity. A blend of five grapes, the wine is full and generous.

Tasting notes
With its deep red color and nose of red fruits including blackberry and blackcurrant, this wine is round in the mouth and full and fleshy. Château Bellevue is slightly spicy with nice length and pleasant tannins. Pairs nicely with grilled meats such as duck, roasted beef, and leg of lamb. The slight spice to wine makes it a great accompaniment for pastas with red sauce and barbeque foods such as chicken, sliders, and ribs. The velvety finish to the wine complements a variety of cheeses.
Estate
Chateau Bellevue is a beautiful estate, built in the XVIIth century by the Lestelle family. One of the most famous owners of the Chateau was Mr. Antoine de Bouire de Veauvallon. Prosecutor of the King in the Parliament of Bordeaux. At the end of the XIXth century, the estate was bought by the Gaboriaud de Latour family. In 1973, Chateau Bellevue is acquired by the Ponton d'Amecourt, an old family from Marne region. The new owners have restructured the vineyard and rennovated the Chateau. Located at 95 metres in height, the Chateau takes its name from his panorama. It offers a "beautiful view" on the landscape. The terroir of the estate consists of mainly white clay. This is a very qualitative terroir, named "terrefort", gives all their character to the wines of Chateau Bellevue. Thanks to an exceptional terroir, a unique know-how and great care, Chateau Bellevue develops a quality wine with complexity.
