Reviews
James Suckling 90
Rich, dark-fruited aromas with hints of chocolate, spices and hazelnuts. Medium- to full-bodied, meaty and light yet chewy on the palate, with vivid acidity and good fruit concentration. It has a chalky texture at the end. Merlot, malbec, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc.

Estate
Chateau Bellevue is a beautiful estate, built in the XVIIth century by the Lestelle family. One of the most famous owners of the Chateau was Mr. Antoine de Bouire de Veauvallon. Prosecutor of the King in the Parliament of Bordeaux. At the end of the XIXth century, the estate was bought by the Gaboriaud de Latour family. In 1973, Chateau Bellevue is acquired by the Ponton d'Amecourt, an old family from Marne region. The new owners have restructured the vineyard and rennovated the Chateau. Located at 95 metres in height, the Chateau takes its name from his panorama. It offers a "beautiful view" on the landscape. The terroir of the estate consists of mainly white clay. This is a very qualitative terroir, named "terrefort", gives all their character to the wines of Chateau Bellevue.
