History
The property was acquired by George Thienpont in 1946 and he subsequently replanted it
with vines towards the end of the 1970’s. Since 1983 his son, Nicolas, has been responsible for the winemaking. Chateau Puygueraud has since become the benchmark wine for the Cotes de Francs and a reference for the renewal of this still little-known appellation.
