A medium- to full-bodied white with aromas of dried grapefruit, lemon curd, fennel, gooseberries and cloves. Rich, compact and spicy with a pithy edge. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Latour-Martillac Blanc has a wonderful nose of wild peaches and nectarine notes, plus a touch of quince and crushed stone. The palate is fresh on the entry and finely balanced, with good weight and density. There's plenty of extract on the finish that should stand it in good stead. Excellent.

This warm, ripe wine shows touches of yellow fruits as well as a cut of attractive citrus. At this stage, the wood aging shows in spice and toastiness, but these will go as the wine fully integrates.

Pure and refined, with an alluring mouthfeel as gooseberry gelee, white peach, verbena and wet straw notes glide through, all while being supported by embedded fleur de sel and savory threads through the finish. Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
