Aromas of dried apricot, pineapple, dried spice, stem ginger and sliced mushroom. It's medium-bodied with bright acidity. Pretty spice notes. Refined and fresh Sauternes. Hint of white chocolate at the end. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Doisy-Vedrines is bright and airy. This Barsac will be fabulous with a bit of time in bottle, once it softens a bit. Lemon peel, mint, white flowers and passionfruit are beautifully lifted. In its youth, Doisy-Vedrines is intensely floral and then gains body as it ages, not over years, but decades. There is plenty to look forward to.

Pale lemon-gold colored, the 2019 Doisy-Vedrines rolls effortlessly out of the glass with notes of crystalline orange peel, lemon tart and green mango plus nuances of honey-drizzled peaches, lime cordial and wild mushrooms in the undercurrent. The palate is wonderfully well-poised, featuring racy freshness that seamlessly lifts the sweet and savory flavors in the mid-palate and gives a burst of mineral-tinged energy on the finish.
