Product Ratings
James Suckling 90pt

Aromas and flavors of orange peel, dried strawberries and hints of coffee. Full and chewy with a good amount of tannins and a pretty finish.

by James Suckling, 2013
Wine Spectator 90pt

Ripe and engaging, with dark, juicy plum and boysenberry fruit liberally studded with anise, cocoa and tar notes that hang through the well-structured finish. Should age well in the near-term. Best from 2014 through 2022.

by Wine Spectator, 2013

Estate

The Donissan de Citran family ruled over this feudal estate in the 11th century and remained owners until 1832, when the last female heir was forced to sell the estate to Mr. Clauzel. This rich, ambitious businessman then drew the property's bounderies as they are today and pushed it to prominence among the Medoc estates.
