This is a good Lalande de Pomerol, there are big tannins as you find in many wines in this region in 2020, but this has real juice and precision behind it, and is an excellent wine. Expect bitter chocolate and espresso shots on the finish but backed up by bilberry and cassis.

This has aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants, dark chocolate and black olives. Medium-bodied and creamy with firm, supple tannins. Focused and dark-fruited.

2020 Tournefeuille has a composed bouquet with blackberry, boysenberry and touches of wild mint. This unfolds with confidence in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sweet plummy fruit, sea salt and touches of dark chocolate, especially towards the finish.

Overlooking the Pomerol plateau, this small property is rich with tannins and spice. The wine is still structured and young- a ripe wine, packed with Merlot juiciness.

The 2020 Tournefeuille displays a deep purple-black color and opulent scents of plum preserves, blueberry jam and kirsch, plus hints of rose oil, Chinese five spice and cracked black pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate is jam-packed with beautifully ripe black and red berry layers, framed by velvety tannins and well-balanced freshness, finishing long and decadently spicy. It's a wine that nails that fine line between savory restraint and bold, rich fruit. Sure to be a crowd-pleaser, I imagine it will be keenly priced and one for the bargain hunters.
