Tasting notes
Intense, deep, purply black robe. The first nose is of an impressive purity with clear aromas of mingling black fruits. After swirling, we are met with more ethereal aromas of violet, mint and spices.
In the palate, the attack is smooth, generous and full, and follows through to a more dynamic tannic structure in the mid-palate. This is a really well-structured and full-bodied wine with velvety tannins, a freshness and elegance that together make this a remarkable vintage. The long, suave finish lingers generously in the mouth, offering a firm and harmonious balance right through to the end.
This Chateau La Pointe 2010 demonstrates not only the great balance of this rich vintage, largely thanks to the acidity level, but also the quality and potential of this Pomerol wine, reflecting its own originality, finesse and distinguished origins.
