Reviews
James Suckling 92
This shows notes of black cherries and plum skins with hints of dried flowers, chocolate and tree bark. Full and creamy with meaty texture and firm tannins. Juicy and savory dark-fruited character and a lingering, chalky finish.

Technical Details
Estate
Located on one of the hills of Saint-Émilion's village, Haut-Veyrac benefits from an exceptional setting and terroir, which the team intends to protect: for several years, many measures have been tested and / or implemented at the Château to limit its impact on nature. Château Haut Veyrac is above all a family story: for 6 generations this property has been passed down from father to son, but above all the passion for growing vines. Haut-Veyrac has an exceptional terroir, the clay and limestone soil allows Merlot and Cabernet Franc grape varieties to grow in the best conditions. The vineyard now extends over 10 hectares with the 65 years being the average age of the vines. At Haut Veyrac, work means both passion and also respect: respect for nature, respect for humans, and respect for the work of their elders. Committed to the environment, they have been working diligently for the past ten years with many organic methods.
Tasting notes
Sporting a deep garnet-purple color, the Haut Veyrac is expressive out of the glass with scents of morello cherries and plum and notes of potpourri, rose hip tea, nutmeg and woodsmoke. The full-bodied palate is laden with spiced red and black fruit layers, supported by plush tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and perfumed. 85% Merlot & 15% Cabernet Franc, aged 15 months in French oak.
