Savory aromas of dried mushroom and forest floor here, with blackcurrants and dried leaves. Some dried citrus peel, too. It's medium-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins.

The home vineyard for the Chanfreau family has produced this dense wine that shows some of the firm tannins of a Listrac. At the same time, the rich fruit typical of the vintage, from equal proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, is prominent, giving good aging potential.
