A soft, fruity wine, with blackberry, coffee and light vanilla on the nose and palate. Full, with very velvety tannins and a long, flavorful finish. This is right on the mark now. Best after 2010. 5,830 cases made.

Classification: Third designated Grand Cru.
Area: 15 hectares (37 acres) in production.
Soil: 40% sandy/gravelly, 40% sandy/silty, 20% clay and limestone.
Grape varieties: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.
Average yield: 50hl/ha.
Average output: 7,300 cases.
Vinification and ageing
Winemaking process: Traditional in concrete vats.
Ageing: 18 months in casks with 60% new wood. Bonding with egg whites.
