Weather conditions
A mild and very wet winter induced an early start of growth. Flowering in the very first days of June confirmed the precocity of the vintage. June was very hot and dry and Summer remained unusually dry throughout July and August. All the analysis of maturity announced a great vintage: good balance, great phenolic richness, grapes perfectly healthy.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation: Alcoholic fermentation lasted 6 to 8 days. Temperature of fermentation of 30°C.
Cuvaisons (alcoholic fermentation + maceration): 21 days on average. Few bleedings on the young vines only.
Ageing: 70% new barrels.
