Wine Enthusiast 91
Properly structured and firm, this is a ripe wine. Full of dense tannins and smoky black fruits, it has a juicy aftertaste. The wine is set for aging.

Technical Details
Description
Château Grandchemin Monplaisir is comprised of 17 acres of vines in Saint-Estèphe, most of which are old vines of 40+ years of age. They are spread out over different soil types with clay, gravel and limestone. This soil diversity gives this elegant wine added complexity and depth. The name is derived from the two hamlets, Monplaisir and Grand Chemin, in which most of the vineyards of the estate are planted.
Tasting notes
Attractive deep red color. This classic Saint-Estèphe has a nose of ripe fruit, pleasantly oaky and nicely balanced. Full on the palate, fruity, lightly toasted with well-integrated tannins and a complex long finish. Very food friendly.
