James Suckling 93pt

Aromas of blueberries, salted plums, stones, walnut husk, cloves and dried herbs. It's medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Fresh, tight and mineral. Polished and refined with excellent length.

Wine Advocate 90pt

Offering up aromas of cherries, sweet berries and creamy new oak, the 2019 Dassault is medium to full-bodied, round and fleshy, with lively acids, velvety tannins and a supple, fruit-driven profile that will make friends on release. This estate is owned by the the French aerospace giant of the same name.

Wine Spectator 93pt

Ripe and lush, with the warm cassis, plum and blackberry compote profile of the vintage. This is backed by alder and juniper hints as it flows through the dark earth-accented finish. There's a bit of burl here, but everything is in proportion. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Vinous Media 93pt

The 2019 Dassault offers up an attractive combination of dark fruit, spice, leather, tobacco and savory accents. Lush and forward, with terrific persistence, Dassault has much to recommend it. Black cherry, chocolate, licorice, spice and leather build effortlessly in the glass. All the elements are very nicely balanced.
