Product Ratings
James Suckling 91pt

A wine with blueberry and mineral character on the nose and a palate. Dried spices. Full body, with chewy tannins and a tangy finish.

Wine Enthusiast 92-94pt

Big and tannic, very firm and tough. Yet all the fruit is there, offering great potential. There is a ripe, juicy aftertaste. Under the same ownership as Chateau Leoville-Poyferre in Saint-Julien.

Wine Spectator 90pt

Offers a good beam of cassis and briar, with singed anise, lilac and black tea notes. Displays a juicy edge on the finish, and should unwind nicely in the short term. Best from 2014 through 2022.

Food pairing

Red meat and cheese
More wine is younger, decanting in advance is necessary to aerate the wine, closing the carafe with its stopper.

Tasting notes

An extremely sweet wine and charming finish. It frees bright fruit and lots of volume. A delicious wine with a nice finish on the fruit.
