Founded in 1885, Domaine Roux is currently operated by the 4th and 5th generation of the Roux family. With vineyard holdings throughout the Côte d'Or, the Domaine is situated in the Saint Aubin village of the Côte de Beaune. This historic property maintains one of the most incredible libraries of older vintages. No one in Burgundy has such an impressive collection of verticals from such a diverse array of villages, single vineyards and Premier Cru wines.

This is a classic Burgundy with a rich dark red color with a ruby tint. The taste of wine is filled with subtle notes of black currant, black cherry, licorice, blackberry on a background of the deeper tones of cedar and oak. The depth and richness reflected in the long finish. The aroma of wine is clearly present tones of cherry, currant, plum shades and mature truffles. This wine is perfect for snacks, dishes of meat, game and poultry. Handpicked harvest and first fermentation in stainless steel tank during 15 days. Second fermentation in oak barrels (30%-35% new casks). Maturation during 14-18 months in cellar for ageing, stored in barrels.
