Description
The XO is a blend of cognacs aged on average 20 years in Oak barrels. A true example of elegance, balance and intensity. With age the eau-devie from the Fins bois bring roundness and richness whilst the Petite Champagne and the Grande Champagne bring intensity and strength. The blend is a special harmony of these cognacs and a rare example of elegance and complexity.
Produced from a blend of Ugni Blanc and Folle Blanche grapes. Aged in Limousin oak barrels for between 10-30 years before final blending.
History
Cognac Dupuy is part of the larger family-run cognac house Bache Gabrielsen. Cognac Dupuy has a far reaching and interesting history dating back to 1852. Well known on every continent of the globe, Cognac Dupuy pride themselves on producing high quality cognac and produce a full range of cognacs from a VS through to extra special vintages. Their Cognacs are produced according to the traditional Charente method since 1852. They are matured in oak casks and bottled on the premises in their own chais. Parfums Rochas of Paris have entrusted to Dupuy the exclusive production of their Cognacs.
Tasting notes
On the nose, the aromas of jasmine and iris perfectly balance the fruity flavors of banana and plum with notes of toasted hazelnuts, candied fruits, almond and mocha. On the palate, the cognac is still intense despite its age with the first hints of a delicate earthy characters, very elegant and refined.
