Reviews
Wine Enthusiast 92
Aromas of forest berry, blue flower and underbrush follow through to the linear, savory palate along with juicy cherry, star anise and clove. Bright acidity and taut, fine-grained tannins provide the framework.

Wine Spectator 90
Rich and supple, evoking cherry, earth, hay and tar flavors, with nicely integrated tannins. Though the finish isn't very long or complex, it lingers nevertheless.

Technical Details
Ageing
Partly in french oak casks and partly in stainless steel tanks
Estate
The Cantina del Nebbiolo was founded on September 30, 1959 in Vezza d'Alba by 23 founding members, in the heart of Roero, an extraordinary land of great wines and agricultural tradition. The Roero is a land for centuries suited to viticulture, the environment is suggestive and full of charm; steep hills and gentle slopes all in a frame of mountains as a backdrop. The hill dominates this special land.
Tasting notes
Made from nebbiolo grapes grown on vineyards in Barbaresco, Neive, Treiso and Alba. Fermentations with lengthy stays on the skins followed by ageing in oak casks produce an intensely red wine with slight hints of garnet, a complex nose of ripe red fruit and spicy overtones, and a warm, mouth-filling flavour with soft tannins, great elegance and an excellent finish.
Vinification
Long maceration in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks on the skins at 23-25° C
