Description
Lecciaia, purchased by Mr Mauro Pacini in 1983, land of 60 hectares situated among woods, olives and 15 hectares of vineyards, 12 of which registered for production of Brunello. The Lecciaia is bordering with the oldest and prestigous vineyards of Montalcino. The peculiar position, the soil's structure and the microclimate's goodness, enhancing the scents and the elegance of Sangiovese vine. Lecciaia, respecting tradition, is continuing production of very classical wines suited for long aging. The wine-cellars and structures, equipped with most modern equipments and winemaking techniques and conservation, develop a surface of over 6,000 square metres, with a yearly winemaking capacity of 4,000 quintals of grapes and a total cellar’s capacity of 15,000 hl of wine. The whole buldings are made with particular attention to environmental impact, scrupulously observing the laws against pollution and recalling the traditional architectonic style of Montalcino.
Tasting notes
This top Brunello estate always delivers great value, especially in this delicious, ready-to-drink, treat from vineyards not far from Montalcino. Plump and round through the middle, this serves up stylish Tuscan red aromas and finishes with fine-grained tannins and a burst of ripe cherry.
