A cherished year in Portugal, after the April 1974 Revolution. After a rainy winter, it was a hot and dry year, particularly in the summer. Some rain at the beginning of September, before the harvest. Overall, it was a year of scarce production. The grapes were hand harvested and transported to stone lagares where they were manually treaded for optimum extraction of color, tannins and aromatic compounds. At the end of the harvest, the wine was transferred to 600L casks where it aged until the perfect moment for bottling was decided.

This wine conveys an intensely perfumed nose with notes of dried fruits and sweet figs combined with orange peel and toasted aromas, creating a multidimensional and flabbergasting complexity. The mouth fills the entire palate with immense volume and power exploding into an exceptionally long and fresh finish despite the 40 years in wooden casks.
