The 2016 Gran Reserva is a 100% Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, aged 24 months in barrels- 80% French and 20% American. Garnet-red in the glass. The nose features red fruit such as plum and sour cherry complemented by notes of bay leaf, wild herbs and licorice, all layered over a cedar bed. The dry and grippy palate displays firm tannins and a chalky texture, resulting in a rich, taut Ribera red with nuanced, lasting flavor.
