Inspired by the great Merlot-based wines of Saint-Emilion and the Napa Valley, our Hazel & Axe Merlot is a true delight. It showcases lush, ripe fruit flavors of plum and black cherry, beautifully complemented by hints of mocha and vanilla. With a silky, smooth body and soft, well-integrated tannins, this Merlot offers a refined elegance and a lingering, velvety finish. It stands as a timeless representation of the classic California Merlot.

Winemaker

Kevin Morrisey, while attending graduate school at the University of California, Davis, he secured a harvest internship at Chateau Petrus in Bordeaux in 1997. He later worked under famed Napa Valley winemaker Tony Soter, founder of Etude Winery, who helped him refine his approach.
