Tasting notes
Sleeping Lady Vineyard: Brilliant, dark eggplant with touches magenta on the rim. On the nose: Beautiful explosion of cassis, coffee, cedar, dried cranberry, cinnamon, licorice, bay leaf and raspberry. On the palate: Entrance with fresh fruit evolving on a nice acidity on the midpalate, lingering on granular, ripe tannins, with touches of boysenberry, lilac and chocolate.
Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard: Deep, dark black olive with touches of fuchsia on the rim. On the nose: Explosion of cedar, pepper and pencil shavings with minerality, fresh blackberry, paprika, pomegranate and mulberry. On the palate: Fresh entrance evolving on a structured mid-palate lingering on dark fruit and acidity like star fruit elderberries and plums.
Stagecoach Vineyard: Dark and shiny black ink with touches of violet on the rim. On the nose: Deep nose with touches of cedar, blackberry reduction, plums and blackberry preserve, lingering on salt crystals, dark cherries, graphite and rosemary. On the palate: Big entrance evolving on a fresh mid-palate with freshly picked black fruit, lingering on fruit pits and volcanic rocks.
All wines received the exact same vinification treatments:
Varietal: 100% Cabernet Franc. Fermentation: 100% Barrel Fermented 27 days on skins. Aging: 23 months, 100% French Oak, 70% New. Case Production: 80
