This is opulent on the nose with ripe-blackberry and lavender character. Full-bodied with firm, silky tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Really refined and structured.

The 2019 Gran Corte is a blend of 55% Malbec, 40% Cabernet Franc and 5% Syrah from the Uco Valley. A dark, garnet red in color. The oak sets the tone in the intricate nose with notes of vanilla, cigar box and tobacco, accompanied by liqueur-like aromas of blackberry and prune. In the mouth, it flows energetically with finely grained tannins and compelling flavor. This wine is still young and compact and will grow richer in the bottle.

The 2019 Gran Corte is still a bit oaky after the wine matured in 100% new French oak barrels. It's a slightly different blend each year, and in 2019 it is 55% Malbec, 40% Cabernet Franc and 5% Syrah that ripened thoroughly to 14.5% alcohol, making the wine ripe and a bit heady, powerful but balanced and with abundant, fine-grained tannins.
