Tasting notes
"A fairly classic Castillon, dark berry fruits on the attack with brighter raspberry and redcurrant
notes coming in through the mid palate giving lift and definition. Tannic hold, some smoked grilled
oak notes. Attractive. Owned by the same family for 600 years, today headed up by Jean de Boigne,
the 26th generation of his family at the estate. Drink 2022-2030." - Decanter, April 2021
Vinification
Traditional vinification, control of temperature, fermentation under 28/30 C., 3 weeks of maceration.
Winemaker
Neat and deep color. Nice nose with hint of red fruits. Full mouth with a long final and steel unmelted tannins.
