Estate
Located at the entrance of the small village of Lalande de Pomerol, the winery CHATEAU de la MARECHAUDE belong the Gaboriaud’s family, winegrower since 1960. The vineyards are compound with 80% Merlot and 20% of Cabernet Franc. The vineyards are cultivated in sustainable farming.

Area: 14 Hectares
Soil: Gravely, sandy gravely.
Vines growing: Sustainable farming, hand harvested, no use of herbicide, low use of pesticide, yields limited for better quality.

Vinification
Winemaking: Cold soak at 5 to 10°C for 10 days for fresh aromas extraction.
Alcholic fermentation: In stainless steel tank under temperature control, small batches for a better plot selection.
Ageing: In french oak casks of 300 Liters for 6 months. 10% of new oak per year. Followed by 4 months of aging in steel tanks.
Average production : 40 000 bottles
