Vintage
The vintage has launched a vast program of grubbing up and replanting vines. As a result, for the last two years, merlots have been the majority in the assembly. The wine gains in mellowness what it loses in tension and in race. You will find a sociando opulent, fat and tasty, with a more accessible.
Estate
Chateau Sociando-Mallet produces full-bodied wines with a deep dark color. Their bouquet is complex, usually dominated by notes of black fruits, a touch of minerality and a well integrated fine woody. Often a bit "virile" in their youth, wines gain in harmony and complexity with age. They are characterized by their freshness, their straightness and their beautiful length.
Chateau Sociando-Mallet is traditionally a long-keeping wine whose great vintages will drink with happiness even after 30 years of cellar.
