Description

The origins of Château Ducluzeau go back to the end of the XVIIth century. The Château was owned by Mr Ducluzeau. Today, this is Mr Bruno-Eugène Borie that manages the estate. Château Ducluzeau was listed in the 1932 Crus Bourgeois classification of the Médoc, just after the fifth classified growths and has kept the rank of cru bourgeois in the up-dated version of 2003. Château Ducluzeau is often considered as a feminine wine, even if the Listrac are usually of a robust structure. This is mainly due to the balance of grape varieties used, mainly Merlot, particularly suited for the terroir and to the great experience of wine making by the Borie family over many years at the head of some of the most famous wines of Medoc. We often associate it with the femininity. To put it simply, Ducluzeau generates its elegance through its grape varieties, its traditional viticultural techniques and its modern vinification methods.
