Description
Pure and natural, the Extra Brut Champagne of the Billecart-Salmon House is the subtle expression of the three local grape varieties: 40% Pinot Meunier, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay. The Extra Brut cuvee of Billecart-Salmon offers an intense pale golden color which is clear and bright. Lively bubbles are ultra-fine and abundant. A complex, vibrant and delicate aromatic intensity is detected on the nose. One can perceive fruitiness as well as pretty floral and brioche notes enhanced by a hint of dried fruit. The bouquet is elegant and fresh, symbolized by the subtle charm of lemon verbena. On the palate it is full and harmonious with a beautiful and deliciously carved mineral tension. The finish is balanced and offers an exquisite luscious sensation.
Estate
The Champagnes of Maison Billecart-Salmon are above all created thanks to the knowledge of the men who rigorously cultivate an estate of 100 hectares, obtaining grapes from an area totaling 300 hectares across 40 crus of the Champagne region. The majority of the grapes used for vinification come from a radius of 20km around Epernay, where the Grand Crus of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay co-exist, in the ethereal vineyards of the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs.
