Description
This rich, round rose is a truly affordable luxury. Although thus far off the radar of wine critics, it is a standout wine from de Cazanove house, with its lovely strawberry color and aromas. Full-bodied but nicely balanced, this wine will make a great aperitif or accompany a wide range of meals. A great value for this type of quality.
Tasting notes
This rose has a lovely salmon-pink color and delicious candied fruit and rose petal aromas. There is volume, fullness and strength on the palate, with good substance. A delicious wine!
Food pairing
This rose pairs well with shellfish, mild and soft cheeses, pork and rich fish, such as salmon and tuna.
History
The Charles de Cazanove brand is one of the oldest in the Champagne region. From early on in their history, Charles de Cazanove were supplying European politicians and diplomats, as well as many French presidents.
In 1983, leading winemaker, Christophe Rapeneau, joined Charles De Cazanove. He modernized the winery to guarantee the authenticity of the wines being crafted. Partnering with local grape growers and partners all over the Champagne region, Charles De Cazanove craft and produce champagnes made from rich, varied assemblages – which satisfy and tantalize a wide variety of tastes all over the world.
