History

Marc and Jean-Francois Arnoux are the newest generation to carry on their family’s long history at this traditional Domaine that sits next door to the old Vacqueyras church. The family’s history in Vacqueyras dates back to 1731 and vineyard holdings are now 41 hectares in total, with additional volume supplemented with growing partners who have supplied the family for decades. Always complex and interesting, Arnoux’s offerings consistently over-deliver for us, this is a producer we’ve been working with since our early days.

Description

Between Vienne and Avignon, on the banks of the majestic Rhône River are the Côtes du Rhône vineyards. Mainly derived from the Plan de Dieu terroir, the vines thrive under the sun and the mistral, producing wines with a wealth of colors, fragrances and flavors. Produced on clay-limestone soils with river stones throughout. This wine is a blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Carignan.

Tasting notes

Its delightful ruby color develops a pleasant red fruit bouquet, with accentuated touches of wild forest fruits (wild blackberries). The mouth develops wild forest berries flavors on a generous and balanced background, staging a voluptuous well-rounded finish with a slight touch of spice. Enjoy with charcuteries, white and red meat, roasted and grilled meat, and let's not forget cheese.
