Tasting notes
Described as France’s “Forgotten Grape” and cousin to the Malbec grape. Lionel Osmin makes one of the only Pied de Perdrix (meaning Partridge Foot) in the world that sports some Beajoleous like qualities. Lush red fruit (prune), spice, and smoky notes from the nose to the palate, incorporating cinnamon and earthy notes mid palate with round, gentle tannins and a smooth subtle acidity. A long finish concludes with faint, smoky notes to the otherwise fruit forward finish. A great value and impressive price point for a rare, unique wine.
Estate
In the beginning, a bunch of friends and lovers of wines from the South West of France were very keen to share their passion. Lionel Osmin & Co was therefore created under the leadership of Lionel to share the unique wines and vineyards of this region with the world.
From Jurançon to Cahors, from Gaillac to Bergerac, passing through Marcillac, Lionel Osmin & Co has become the champion of the wines from the South West and their vineyards whose secrets have not all yet been uncovered.
The result? A range of wines whose characteristics are faithful to the region and which are made to share the joy of discovering the vines and wines that Lionel and his team love so much.
