The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon SVV is a ripe, slightly lifted, floral effort offering ample red and blue fruits, notes of cedar pencil, candied violets, and spice, medium to full body, and ripe yet certainly present tannins. It shows the fresher, focused, structured style of the vintage.

Blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry and cherry with hints of smoke and dark chocolate on the nose. Full-bodied with a tight palate of relatively fine tannins and a medium finish. Nicely crafted.

Deeply luscious in blackberry, cherry and cassis, this 100% varietal wine is seamless, with well-integrated, polished tannins and refined texture. With both freshness and length, it shows a more elegant side of the variety, with earthy hints of cedar, herb and pencil shaving.

This aims for the hedonist crowd, with lots of gusto to its mix of plum, blackberry and boysenberry paste flavors. Melted licorice, fruitcake and roasted applewood notes fill in on the finish, giving this a bold profile, though there's cut and drive for balance.
